A deck set inspired by the Donetsk region — the industrial east of Ukraine, a region whose cultural and political identity has been contested since 2014. Donbas (the Donetsk and Luhansk basins) was the heart of Ukrainian coal and steel production, built largely in the Soviet era. The region's visual culture mixes Soviet industrial iconography with Ukrainian folk traditions that survived and are now being recovered. This minimal design acknowledges that specific place and its specific history. Printed in gallery-quality UV ink on Grade-A Canadian maple.
