Braviera — VR sculpture reel

Braviera portfolio cover

Brayan Viera works under the name Braviera from Panama City, Panama, born in 2000 in Cali, Colombia. Trained in digital animation, he builds his images and sculptures inside virtual reality — modelling by hand, in mid-air, rather than with a mouse. His work returns again and again to the colours and textures of childhood, translated into a contemporary, distinctly digital visual language: playful, tactile, unpretentious.

“Virtual reality is a medium I find fascinating for its duality: profoundly artificial and plastic, yet surprisingly human. By using hands as the primary tool instead of a mouse, I feel like I am sculpting in a virtual space that blends the traditional with the digital, transforming every gesture into a form of contemporary craftsmanship.”

His work has shown at Panama's Macrofest, Bogotá's Umbral Galería, and Vision World in Huesca, Spain, and he has directed 3D work for Warp Records (Hudson Mohawke), Four Loko, and Warner Music Group. This collection brings three of his VR-sculpted pieces onto Grade-A Canadian maple decks.
