If a skateboard falls from its wall mount, remove it from the display until the cause is understood. Do not simply reattach it to the same uncertain support.
1. Inspect the wall
Look for damaged paint, crumbling plaster, enlarged fixing holes or other signs the supporting surface has failed.
2. Check the anchors
Confirm that the fixings are intended for the actual wall construction and installed as specified. A screw and anchor combination is not interchangeable with every other one.
3. Check the mount
Verify that it fits the deck and supports the intended orientation. Missing or loose parts need attention before rehanging.
4. Review the complete load
Use the actual weight of the object and any attached hardware. A rating on one component does not establish a rating for the whole installation.
5. Reconsider adhesive use
Check the exact product's permitted surfaces and applications. Do not add extra tape as a substitute for a compatible system.
6. Look for contact and movement
Doors, bags, vibration and people brushing past can disturb a display. Choose a location with suitable clearance.
7. Get help when the cause is unclear
A competent installer can assess the wall and support arrangement. Keep the deck off the wall while that assessment is pending.
After a repair, follow the system's inspection guidance. Regular attention is useful, but it does not make an unsuitable installation safe.
