Displaying a skateboard without nails can involve several kinds of support. The absence of nails does not establish that a system is suitable for every wall or deck.
1. A freestanding display stand
A stand avoids wall attachment. Check fit, stability and its instructions for the object being displayed.
2. An existing suitable shelf
A supported shelf may accommodate a deck if the board is retained against sliding or tipping. The shelf's installation must already be appropriate for the load.
3. A purpose-built non-wall display
Some display structures support objects from the floor or another structural surface. Use a complete documented product rather than assuming a household tension rod is suitable.
4. A compatible removable hanging system
A removable adhesive product needs explicit compatibility with the object, surface and arrangement. A picture-frame application cannot automatically be transferred to a curved deck.
5. An existing installed picture rail
A suitable rail may avoid new holes, but its hooks, suspension and deck attachment still require assessment. It is not a nail-free installation if the rail itself needs permanent fixing.
What to check
Record the actual weight and dimensions. Consult instructions for the whole system, including permitted surfaces and removal.
Keep uncertain installations away from beds, seating and frequently occupied areas. Check tenancy arrangements where relevant.
These are categories to investigate, not guaranteed damage-free methods. If none is suitable, change the location or obtain advice on an appropriate fixed installation.
